Our admissions process is designed to be straightforward. From your first application to your first day, here is exactly what to expect.

Step one
Apply Online
Complete our online application form. Tell us about yourself, your background and why you want to join the Gateway Academy. No prior experience required.

Step two
Attend Interview
Shortlisted applicants are invited for a brief interview — in-person or virtual. We want to understand your passion, your goals and your commitment to the program.

Step three
Receive Offer
Successful applicants receive a formal offer letter within 5 working days of their interview. The offer outlines your program, start date and full fee breakdown.

Step four
Pay Deposit
Secure your place by paying the non-refundable deposit within 7 days of receiving your offer. The balance is due one week before the program start date.
Requirements

Who can apply?

Gateway Academy is designed to be accessible to anyone with genuine passion and commitment. We do not require a formal background in media or technology. What matters most is your drive to learn and grow.

Age 17 and above
Applicants must be at least 17 years old at the time of program commencement. There is no upper age limit.
No prior experience needed
You do not need previous experience in media, tech or creative fields. Our programs are built for beginners as well as those looking to formalise existing skills.
Passion for the discipline
We are looking for individuals who are genuinely excited about creating, building and learning. Curiosity and commitment matter far more than credentials.
Laptop recommended
Students are encouraged to bring a personal laptop. Shared devices are available at the facility, but having your own ensures a smoother learning experience.

No. Gateway Academy does not require any formal academic qualifications. We are focused on your passion, potential and commitment to learning. People from all educational backgrounds are welcome to apply.
From submission to offer, the process typically takes 2–3 weeks. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so earlier submissions tend to receive faster responses. We recommend applying well before the deadline.
Yes. We understand that the full tuition may be challenging to pay upfront. Flexible payment arrangements can be discussed after you receive your offer letter. Contact our admissions team to explore options.
The Media Production program is delivered entirely in-person at our Abuja facility. This is essential to the hands-on, practical nature of the training. Remote options may be available for future programs.
Graduates receive a Certificate of Completion from Gateway Academy. Our alumni network provides continued support, and we actively connect graduates with opportunities through our industry partnerships across the Gateway ecosystem.
Each cohort is intentionally limited to 20 students. This small class size ensures every student receives individual attention from our trainers and benefits from a close-knit learning community.
